All of my research is collected in my are.na channel. Alternative Web Spaces began with a curiosity about the current state of the internet — how it often feels isolating and lacks the sincerity that early web communities once had.

Through my exploration, I discovered a folk digital community of artists, designers, and creative technologists who are building a more thoughtful, healthy internet by creating their own web platforms, or internet art as discursive pieces, engaging with problems of the internet.

If you're a creative or just someone who wants a more cozy, intentional online experience, this collection might help you reflect on your digital habits — and maybe even inspire you to explore or build your own corner of the web.
